The small-change edit.

Three places to start.
No renovation required.

01 / LIGHT

Give your evenings
a softer glow.

Place a shaded lamp beside the spot where you unwind. Keep the light below eye level and choose a warm bulb compatible with the fixture. A second pool of light creates depth.

02 / TEXTURE

Make the ordinary
feel considered.

Bring together what you already have: a woven throw, a smooth tray and a ceramic bowl. Vary the materials, repeat a colour and leave a little breathing space.

03 / SPACE

A small room.
A bigger possibility.

Move one thing before buying another. Clear the route through your room and give everyday objects a home close to where you use them.

THE PRACTICAL GUIDE

Your room,
reconsidered.

A simple weekend reset. Begin with what you own and only buy what solves a real problem.

SMALL SPACE
BIG PERSONALITY
01

Make space before making a purchase.

Measure the room and the furniture. Sketch the doors, windows and walking routes. Move a chair or side table out temporarily: does the room work better? Keep the route to doors and windows clear.

02

Light the things you actually do.

Use focused light where you read, cook or work, and softer light where you relax. Before buying a lamp, check its size, outlet location, bulb fitting and cable route. Warm light around 2700K is a useful starting point for a relaxed living area.

03

Use a three-texture recipe.

Choose one soft element, one woven element and one smooth surface. Repeat a colour already in the room to connect them. Start with a throw, basket and existing bowl; edit the arrangement until each object has space.

04

Let one detail be the statement.

Pick the object you want to notice first. Try your favourite artwork, a patterned cushion or an unusual lamp. Photograph the room from the doorway, then remove anything that competes with it without adding a useful function.
